Taulu
№ 001 · vs. Monday.com

Why teams leave Monday.com for Taulu.

Monday.com is colourful and feature-dense, but it bills every viewer and most of the surface lives behind paid add-ons. Taulu gives you the kanban, the canvas, and the voice room in one place, charges only the people who actually edited that month, and keeps your data in the EU. Free forever for one board, full features.

Side-by-side,
honest.

Rows checked against shipped behaviour, not a sales deck. The bottom group lists what Monday.com still does better — the comparison is more useful when honest.

Bring your Monday.com workspace in in minutes.

OAuth read-only. We never write back to Monday.com. Re-run the import any time to refresh.

  1. Step 1

    Connect Monday

From Settings → Integrations, click Connect Monday. We use Monday's read-only OAuth (boards:read) — no permission to write items, change values, or move groups.

  2. Step 2

    Pick the board

Browse your Monday workspaces and pick the board to import. Both standard and main-board structures are supported.

  3. Step 3

    Import in seconds

Groups become kanban columns. Items become kanban cards keeping their name, person assignment, status, due date, tags, subitems (flattened to checklist), and updates summary. Files come across. Mirror and connect-board columns are noted in the import summary.

№ 005 · Asked

What teams
ask first.

What about column types that don't map cleanly?

Text, status, person, date, tag, checkbox, and file columns map to first-class card fields. Formula, mirror, connect-board, and dashboard columns appear in the card description as a structured fields block — the data isn't lost, it just isn't a kanban field.

Are subitems preserved?

Yes. Subitems become a checklist on the parent card, preserving the title, status, and assignee of each.

Do file-column attachments come along?

Yes. Files in file-columns are downloaded into Taulu storage and re-attached to the corresponding card. External links (Drive, Dropbox) come across as links.

Can I keep Monday side-by-side?

Yes. The import is read-only on the Monday side — we never write back. Re-import to refresh after changes.

Will I save money?

Almost certainly. Monday bills per seat with a 3-seat minimum and tier-gates most useful features. Taulu charges €2 per active editor / month with a €4 minimum invoice. People who didn't edit any board that month are never billed. Viewers are always free.
