Miro is a generous canvas, but the work that keeps a team shipping — kanban, WIP limits, swimlanes — lives in a separate app, or not at all. Taulu puts stickies and a real kanban on the same board, with WIP limits that go red when a column overflows and a voice room built in. Your data stays in the EU and you only pay for people who actually edited that month.
Rows checked against shipped behaviour, not a sales deck. The bottom group lists what Miro still does better — the comparison is more useful when honest.

OAuth read-only. We never write back to Miro. Re-run the import any time to refresh.
From Settings → Integrations, click Connect Miro. We use Miro's official OAuth scopes (boards:read, boards:write isn't requested) — you can revoke at any time from Miro's app settings.
Browse your Miro teams and select the board you want to bring in. Archived boards are excluded by default.
Stickies become Taulu stickies (colours preserved), shapes become shapes, frames become containers, text and code blocks come across, mindmaps become mindmaps, and connectors keep their anchors. Embeds and unsupported app cards are dropped with a per-item summary so you can spot anything we couldn't translate.
Frames become Taulu containers — a labelled rectangle that groups items. If you want a real kanban (with WIP limits and column rules), drop a kanban frame on the canvas afterwards and drag your stickies into it. We're working on a one-click 'convert frame to kanban' so you can do this in place.
Yes. We map Miro's 16 sticky colours (light_yellow, pink, violet, etc.) to the matching Taulu palette so the board doesn't look unfamiliar after import.
Yes — the import is one-way and read-only on the Miro side. We never write back to your Miro account. You can re-import the same board after Miro-side changes.
Yes. Postgres, MinIO object storage, and our voice SFU all run in EU regions. The only third party that ever sees board content is Mistral AI in France, and only when you explicitly run a photo-to-canvas extraction. Miro stores customer data in the US by default.
€20/month on Pro — that's €2 per active editor / month, and we only count people who actually edited a board that month. Viewers and read-only invitees never count.
Free forever for one board. €2 per active editor / month on Pro (€4 minimum). People who didn't edit that month are never billed.
